On Wednesday the whole school went to the hall and were told to sit in our house colours. Then Mrs Hall told us that we were making homemade Hobo Stoves, I was getting really excited because she also that that we were going to be making pancakes on the Hobo Stoves as well. When we started making them I was a bit nervous because the first step looked a bit tricky because we had to cut out strips of cardboard and roll them up to put them into a small little tin cup. Then we put the wax and the wick in the small little tin. Then once the wax had dried up we put the tin into a karicare sized big tin. Then Mrs Allan (incharge of Yellow house) went into the staff room to go make the pancake mixture. Then we put a roll of tinfoil over the top of the big tin and lit the candle. Then we put the pancake mixture on the roll of tinfoil on the top of the big tin. I think I was the best pancake flipper and I also think that Kane was the best at holding down the tinfoil. The pancake were so good that they even tasted better then my Mums, even though my Mum hardly makes pancakes they yummy.
